Chelsea Handler explores the ins and outs of the tech world in her “Chelsea Does Silicon Valley” segment in the new Netflix docu-series. While learning to code at a kids’ program, launch a hilarious app, and try and grasp how the tech industry actually works, Chelsea stopped by to disconnect with us on a Digital Detox mini retreat.
She gave herself a nickname (Handy), mingled with the other detoxers, and was ready to find out what’s so great about turning off your phone. Led by Camp Grounded’s own Camp Director, Levi Felix (aka Fidget Wigglesworth), the mini digital detox retreat really forced everyone out of their comfort zones and into epic hugs and meaningful conversations.
We laughed, we cried, and laughed some more while we Intra-gramed our favorite photos, shared what we were grateful for, and learned to connect with other people without using our phones. Chelsea learned the dangers of shexting and the benefits of an IRL thumbs up. All it all, it was a great day for all of us.
